Its currently based on google’s great image search engine, though they don’t quit expose all their features on a standard API (as we all know google is is probably coming soon), but we managed a way to hook into their images’ search engine and provide you with this great tool.

So what one can do with the “Image Search” extension:

As you can see in the screen shot above their are many advanced options you may use:
Filtering by image type

  • Faces Search – Search only images containing people faces. this is one of my favorite options, you can do wild things with it – see the screenshot for example :-)
  • Photos Content Search – Search for terms related to photos’ content .
  • Lines art Search – Search for ‘lines art’ images.
  • ClipArt Search – Search for clipart images.
  • News Search – Search photos in the latest news online !

Filtering by image shape

  • Wide
  • Tall – for sidebar images
  • Square – Great for standard ad sense banners
  • Panoramic – this is great for nature and landscape image
